For several decades so far people have been curing diseases with the help of medications, pills, drops, and the like. These 'mixtures of chemical ingredients' have saved millions of lives and cured thousands of diseases. Most drugs are available in the stores and sold without the doctor's prescription. Those medications that cure specific diseases are to be prescribed at the physician only. It is not advisable and even dangerous to decide on the choice of drugs on your own or to mix several medications at a time. Apart from cure and positive effects, drugs may also lead to side effects. A side effect is usually an undesirable secondary effect which occurs in addition to the desired therapeutic effect of a drug or medication. Side effects may vary for each individual depending on the person's disease state, age, weight, gender, ethnicity and general health. Side effects can occur when commencing, decreasing/increasing dosages, or ending a drug or medication regimen. Side effects may also lead to non-compliance with prescribed treatment.
